John F. Kennedy spoke these famous words during his inauguration “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Many of you, like myself, love these words. Many of you or a member or members of your family have answered this call by working for Our Country.
Now, you and/or a family member is in need of competent medical care in order to be able to perform daily activities without pain and limitations. You did right by your country…are they doing right by you and giving you answers to your medical questions, non-medication pain relief, and guidance & support to get you and yours their life back? If not, there are answers…sometimes a bit off the common path.
Not all medical services and providers are the same. You have seen it first-hand. This is just as true for those that provide in the private sector as well as government/military. With one exception, in the private sector if one doesn’t provide good care – they won’t continue in business (ps…we were founded in 2005).
I have had several individuals from the Military/Tricare who have told me, to my face, that physical therapy doesn’t work and is a waste of time, energy, and money. In fact, one made it was known that he was mad that he had to come to physical therapy. I agreed with them all after listening to their stories. The sad fact was that they didn’t receive “true” physical therapy but a bastardized version of “exercises and modalities” labeled as “physical therapy.” In fact, I became mad as well because of the dis-service that was being done to the physical therapy profession.
But after 2 to 3 visits, sometimes after the evaluation, they realized what “true” physical therapy was and were amazed. Amazed on how much they learned about their condition, amazed what had caused it & how they could prevent it from worsening, and amazed how they, themselves, could help reduce their pain, improve their condition, & get their life back. Then instead of being mad at physical therapy, they became upset asking “Why aren’t all medical providers like us?” I told them “I don’t know but we only try to do our best.”
So if you have given your best…your best effort…your best years and no longer have your best in you thus leaving you or yours in pain & difficulty and without answers…Stop Looking – We have Your Answers! We will give you Hope along with Healing. If you keep asking and not getting answers, you may not be asking the wrong question(s)…you may be asking the wrong people!
Carpe Diem,
Sasha
