How was your 2021? Still dealing with any aches & pains from the previous year or years? If the answer is yes – keep reading. If your answer is no, you should keep reading as well. All is good.
Are you like many patients who ignore their pain until it is too severe? Or, try go to YouTube to find the ‘miracle solution’? The best answer is closer than you think. It actually may be near you!
Pain may continue is for a couple of reasons but there is one simple answer. I will get to that answer in a moment.
When one has pain, this is the likely scenario. Pain or discomfort appears. Go online to search symptoms and get an on-line diagnosis. Go searching for answers on Dr. Google or YouTube. Try those recommendations out. Don’t get better. Try different ones. Still don’t get better. Give up only to get frustrated and in more pain.
The problem is…the diagnosis given is most likely not the correct one. That’s why, within the last 2 months, Low Back Pain has been ‘cancelled’ as a diagnosis. And for good reason. Low Back Pain is NOT a diagnosis! It is a symptom! If you are only treating the symptoms, you are not treating the cause and most likely not get better.
The solution? Get seen by a Physical Therapist and determine what the cause is. Then you can treat the problem and get better. And get back to living, pain-free & frustration free.
But where should you go for physical therapy? I could advise and tell you but by reading on, hopefully you will be equipped with knowledge to do so.
Nearest May Be Good, Convenience Is Better
Amazon has done it. They have made us lazy. And changed the way business is done and the way we shop. Let me explain.
Years ago, I won’t tell you how long ago because it will reveal just how old (vintage I prefer to say instead) I am, if we needed something – we would have to get dressed, hop in the car, drive to the store (hopefully there will be no traffic or inclement weather), go try to find the much needed items(s) after snagging the closest parking spot (which happens to be in the next county) , get in line for a cashier (why are we always in the slowest line???), pay for the item, drive home, and finally crashing onto the couch to rest after such an adventure.
Amazon, or any online store, allows me to order 99% needed items without leaving the comfort of my home and bunny slippers. Sit, Search, Buy, and be Relaxed. Aka…be lazy.
This convenience has transformed shopping. Unfortunately, it isn’t that easy to experience hands-on physical therapy.
Most people want hands-on physical therapy. And I don’t blame them. The healing touch of an amazing physical therapist is unparalleled.
But like most individuals, we don’t want to spend time driving all over the place for physical therapy. And that is one of most common reasons for choosing a certain physical therapy clinic.
We Usually Choose What Is Nearest To Us
Since you can’t search and find Physical Therapy on Amazon or the like as of yet, we choose what is closest to us. If one hasn’t been to physical therapy before, most commonly we type into the search bar of our favorite search engine Physical Therapy Near Me.
Before last month, we may not show up in your search results because we may have been more than 5-10 miles away from you and your home in the Williamsburg area.
But now, that has changed.
PEAK Physical Therapy has expanded!
We have added a second location which allows us to be near you! Just like best buddies sitting next to each other on the bus ride to and from school.
Our Two locations are on the opposites side of Williamsburg conveniently & easily accessible by both Interstate 64 and 199. And definitely near you.
Physical Therapy Near You – McLaws Circle
In 2005, finally, my vision of an expansive outpatient physical therapy came to fruition.
McLaws Circle is PEAK Physical Therapy’s ‘flagship’ clinic. Located just off 199 and Route 60 near Busch Gardens. And, approximately 1 mile off Interstate 64. If you live near the eastern side of Williamsburg, our physical therapy is near you.
PEAK PT McLaws Circle has evolved over the years and has become the go to physical therapy & rehabilitation clinic not only in Williamsburg, but in the region. The 6,000 square foot facility is large enough to accommodate any advanced rehabilitation need but small enough to feel welcome & truly cared for in a private manner.
Many first’s have happened at PEAK’s McLaws Circle location for the Williamsburg & surrounding areas including but certainly not limited to Dry Needling, Whole-Body Vibration, Blood Flow Restriction, and Vertimax.
Even with the addition of aforementioned items, the signature core principle was never lost: “Meet and treat everyone wherever they are and with their goals in mind and have them become part of our family!”
And, our Team of therapists & support staff embrace and exude this every day. It’s not necessarily what we do and how we ‘do’ physical therapy, it’s how you are greeted, treated, and understood about you and your needs & goals.
So, if you are looking for a physical clinic near you for your aches, pains and you are unable to live your active, dynamic, independent lifestyle, schedule for a Meet & Greet and come by & visit to see if we are what you are searching for in reaching your goals.

Physical Therapy Near You – Michael Commons
Now that we have the flagship McLaws Circle location established, flourishing, and helping those with physical therapy needs, we realized that traveling to that side of town may be too much for some. So, we went exploring.
During our travels, we discovered a ‘new land’ that would be perfect for our second clinic. This ‘new land is Michael Commons.
Michael Commons, in case you may not know, is located on the western side of Williamsburg. It is conveniently off of 199 just across from the Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and down the street from the Home Depot & Chick-Fil-A. My son pointed out very, very quickly how close Chick-Fil-A was to our second location. Thanks Mitch. My belt is already getting snug from the holiday food.
Not only is the location different, but so is the environment. Michael Commons is a significantly smaller space (1200 sq. ft versus 6000 sq. ft.) which lends itself to being a more relaxed & intimate setting. Perfect for those seeking that type of physical therapy.
PEAK Physical Therapy at Michael Commons is lead by Senior Physical Therapist Cindy Hartman. Cindy has the most experience of anyone in PEAK PT TEAM, by a significant margin. Due to both her experience and beauty calming demeanor, Cindy is the consummate physical therapist.
So, if you are looking for a physical clinic for your aches, pains and you are unable to live your active, dynamic, independent lifestyle, schedule for a Meet & Greet and see if we are what you are seeking for in reaching your goals.
