Recently, PEAK PT opened our second location to serve those who live in or near the western aspect of Williamsburg. Our second clinic is located in Michael Commons, across from the Sentara Hospital.
Physiotherapist Sasha Digges founded PEAK PT in 2005. Since the inception of PEAK PT, at the initial location in McLaws Circle, he wanted a second clinic serving the opposite side of Williamsburg. His dream came to fruition in 2021.
The Michael Commons clinic is different in that it is smaller, 1200 vs 6000 square feet, and with a more intimate treatment area with the same goal: offering physical therapy to those in need of relief from pain and improved movement culminating in getting one back to their desired quality of life.
The Staff at Michael Commons is comprised of Sasha, Clinical Director, and Cindy, Lead Physical Therapist. That’s it. A short—yet sweet—list.
If you live near Michael Commons and are in need of physical therapy, please consider PEAK Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation.
If you have any questions at all, please reach out to our Patient Care Coordinators here.

I originally injured my back in 2019 and was diagnosed with herniated disk in the T-8 region of my spine. After the first round of physical therapy from a provider in Chesapeake VA, I was able to go about 4 hours a day pain free and then the pain would worsen throughout the rest of day.
I had zero quality of life. I was not able to play golf, perform basic maintenance on the vehicles, push a shopping cart or push a lawn mower without extreme pain. My primary care provider prescribed Gabapentin as a pain medication which helped, but over a two year period, the medication started to have a negative effect on my kidneys, liver and red blood cell count.
As a new resident of Williamsburg, my new Primary Care Provider suggested that another round of physical therapy could be beneficial as I was determined to get off the medication. PEAK physical Therapy was recommended to me from a family member that had received training from Sasha on physical therapy techniques. I set up an appointment with Cindy in March of 2021. After nine weeks of intense physical therapy to include a great deal of pain, my quality of life was back to 100 percent and I was pain free.
It’s now April 2022,1 re-injured by back and the pain was the same as the previous injury. I made to call to set up appointments with Cindy and started physical therapy once again. This turned into a marathon as I had T-6, T-7, and T-8 vertebras that would shift and we was trying different techniques to stabilize and strengthen the muscles.
About 5 weeks into the therapy, we had a conservation about getting anew opinion of the original diagnosis from 2019 and Cindy recommended a Spine Specialist in Newport News VA. The Spine Specialist told that the tendon going across the T8 region was the problem area, not a herniated disk. I received treatment for the tendon and Cindy did an amazing job providing me the required exercises to strengthen my muscles to stabilize the back muscle to reduce the risk of injury reoccurrence in the future.
AGAIN, I AM PAIN FREE and back on the golf course with anew prospective on life. There are no words that adequately describes my sincerest gratitude to Cindy and Sasha for their work that has provided me the guidance and tools to enjoy the later years in life leading into retirement. Sasha’s team provided me excellent customer service, showed a genuine concern for my wellbeing and always presented themselves in a highly professional manner.
